A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or change a scheduled appointment. In the event of illness or an emergency, please notify me at the earliest possible time. If you cancel or miss two or more appointments with less than 24 hours’ notice, I will reach out to attempt to work out a solution. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions: Do I have insurance benefits that include a Registered Social Worker? What is my deductible and has it been met? How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover? What is the coverage amount per therapy session? Is approval required from my primary care physician?

Sessions are 55, 70 & 85 minutes in length; To maintain an equitable practice, I offer a limited number of spots on a sliding-scale basis for those clients, who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford therapy. Sessions are offered in person, in-home, and phone/video counselling through a secure telemedicine on-line platform.

Cash, cheque, or e-money transfer.

The cost of counselling may be free or partially covered by your insurance company or private health plan. You can contact  your providers to inquire about coverage for social work counselling services. Social work counselling services can be claimed on your income tax through the Medical Expense Tax Credit (METC). Ian offers a limited number of sliding scale appointments for clients who are financially burdened. Please contact me.
