Tackling the Taboo Around Therapy?
Have you considered trying therapy?
Not sure it’s for you?
Curious about what is involved?
Then join University of Toronto’s Master's of Social Work candidates Jared Parhar and Brandon Schiafone of Recalibrate Therapeutic Services on Thursday, May 29, at 7:00 PM as they look to remove the taboo around seeking mental health support. During the event, they will be supported by Ian Wine, Owner/Director of Recalibrate Therapeutic Services, to discuss such topics as:
- Misconceptions about therapeutic services.
- What might a therapy session look like.
- Challenges with which someone can seek support.
- Self-care and maintenance activities that can help in-between sessions.
- What you might discuss during your time with a therapist.
- And more!
The event is completely free and will last around 1.5 hours. It will consist of a 45-minute information session followed by time to answer any questions or concerns you might have.
There’s no shame in wanting a better life. There’s no shame in seeking support. There’s no shame in facing your challenges head on.
You deserve it!
